Dear Mr. Jackson,

When you were last at our Works I believe you left a slide rule and case here; at any rate, one has mysteriously appeared since that date. If you will confirm that these belong to you, I will forward same to you without delay.

I should like to take this opportunity of thanking you for the attention shown me when I was last at your Works, and for the information which you gave me.
