FOR THE ATTENTION OF MR. STEADMAN.

Dear Sirs,

The writer thanks you for your letter of the 26th instant, with respect to his slide rule which was left upon your machine when he last called.

This slide rule is his property and he was expecting to be at Derby very shortly, and proposed calling for it, his visit, however, has been postponed and we should be very much obliged if you would send it forward, and enclose sixpence in stamps for postage.

Thanking you for your kindness in the matter.

We remain,

yours faithfully,

JACKSON & HUNT.
