LONDON, N.W.2.

Dear Sirs,

We understand that you are developing a screen wiper with a cable drive from the engine, such as is employed for the tachometer drive by means of a spiral gear from the camshaft, and we would be interested to have any particulars you can supply.

One of the factors which rather limits freedom in design, is small space available at the back of the scuttle rail, and the fact that it is often difficult to arrange for a straight rod or shaft between the two spindles of the wiper blades, while other essential features are silence, reliability and durability.

It is possible that the writer may be in Cricklewood one day during the next week or so, and would like to take the opportunity of calling upon you.

Yours faithfully,

for ROLLS-ROYCE LTD.
