Wym {G. Harold Whyman - Experimental Manager} 200B c. Rm. {William Robotham - Chief Engineer} what can we do GG File 1297. DA. {Bernard Day - Chassis Design} 21/G.9.2.38. Yes Wymans Have you seen what is being drawn Rm {William Robotham - Chief Engineer} AIR SILENCER - BENTLEY 111. Using the Bentley ll. air silencer on Bentley 111. is causing us considerable difficulty in arranging the apparatus on the dash. Not only does the body of the silencer penetrate far into the recess in the dash but the large elbow in the outlet pipe collides with the parts on the dash. We think a new silencer might be developed. One that suggests itself has one or possibly two outlets emerging from the central part of the body, with inlets at each end. The air temperature might be different at each end then, which might be a drawback. There may be other arrangements. The silencer might be turned end for end if one could get the main elbow to clear the bonnet. We should like to do some work on it to help ourselves with the dash.
