1227 Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}2/AP. 24th September 1937 L.G.Callingham Esq., Shell-Mex and B.P.Ltd., Shell-Mex House, Victoria Embankment, LONDON W.C.2. Dear Mr.Callingham, Many thanks for your letter of September 7th. We have been into the question of Shell Oils to recommend in future, and are proposing to alter our Instruction Books, recommending Triple Shell for the Summer, Double Shell in the Winter, and Single Shell for extreme cold, mentioning that the oil should be chosen for the coldest temperature to be encountered. We are mentioning the S.A.E. numbers in order that people in other parts of the world shall have no doubt as to what oil to use. Yours sincerely, | ||
