Rm {William Robotham - Chief Engineer} 1282 To All Officials and Superintendents. Hs. {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} 19/AP.5.3.40. ADDITIONAL PETROL COUPONS OBTAINABLE FROM R.R. BULK SUPPLY. Two letters have been received from the Divisional Petroleum Officer, pointing out that the bulk supply of petrol which we have is only for carrying out "absolutely essential duties" and further, that these duties cannot be carried out by the use of 'bus services, railways, walking, cycling, or the sharing of vehicles. We shall, therefore, have to discontinue supplying sufficient petrol for people to get everyday from their residence to the Works or Belper, in order that they can occasionally use their cars during working hours on Company's business. Will all Officials please bear this in mind when recommending that people on their Staff should be granted additional petrol coupons. Hs. {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} ---------------- | ||
