Experimental Department,
Messrs. Rolls-Royce Ltd.,
D E R B Y.

Dear Robotham,

I have just heard from Mr. W.C. Thorne, who is, of course, a director of Messrs. Park, Ward & Co. Ltd. as well as of India Tyres, and whom no doubt you will remember when he came to see you at Derby.

He tells me that his new 25 h.p. R-R has not been at all satisfactory in various ways, and I have taken the liberty of suggesting that he should write you direct on this subject, giving you details, as I felt that you might care to know about it, and possibly look into the matter yourself?

As regards the Bentley and Road Races: I understand that the only race now contemplated is the Ulster T.T., and I should be most grateful if you could be so kind as to advise me when any definite decision regarding this race has been made; and whether, if it is decided to enter for the race, India tyres would be used on the Bentley, in order that we may have ample time to consider whether we should be in a position to undertake the proper pit service for the race.

With many apologies for troubling you.

Yours sincerely,

Rothes-
