Dear Robotham,

Thank you for your letter of March 25th.

I am afraid I cannot answer your question accurately about the effective depth of tread, but I am sending a copy of your letter to-day to Mr. Worth asking him to reply to you on that point direct.

I would suggest, however, that the disadvantages of a 4-ply cover against a 6-ply cover on the Bentley would be increased risk of casing fractures and bruises and probably more rapid tread wear, but no doubt Mr. Worth will deal with these subjects fully in his letter to you.
