I am arranging for Mr. Haywood, the chief of the Repair Department at Derby, to pay a visit to Kingsbury, with a view to establishing closer personal contact between your department and Derby.

Frequent visits of this nature are very desirable, in order that Derby may know the nature of the work being done at Kingsbury, and visits of individuals of the Kingsbury staff should occasionally be made to Derby, in order to see what we are doing and to keep up-to-date on all matters relating to Bentley Cars.

It is also desirable that the methods of dealing with service matters should be uniform, whether dealt with in London or Derby. Similar working arrangements already exist between Derby and Cricklewood as regards Rolls-Royce Cars, and we wish to put into operation exactly similar liaison work in connection with Bentley.

It is also necessary from time to time for our Experimental Department to consult the Service Depots regarding recurrent troubles with a view to eliminating them, and I am requesting Mr. Hives to get in touch with you on such problems as require his attention.
