EXPERIMENTAL DEPARTMENT.

Rm {William Robotham - Chief Engineer} /Ed. {J. L. Edwards} 9/JH.

27th. June, 1939.

Messrs. John Marston Ltd.
WOLVERHAMPTON.

For the attention of Mr. Steadman.

Dear Sirs,

Yesterday the writer 'phoned your Mr. Collins with regard to your drawing of our B.V. bottom tank B.200, pointing out that this did not agree with our detail drawing EB.4153.

The writer was given to understand that this incorporates your standard practice, namely turning the front edge of the bottom plate at right angles and fastening to the back of the block. Mr. Collins promised to send us a revised print as the roll over of the detail already sent was an error of drawing.

Further to your 'phone call yesterday which the writer unfortunately missed, we are sending the parts required, i.e. inlet casting EB.4707, outlet casting EB.4674, filter ring EB.3621 immediately and they should be to hand sometime to-morrow. The bottom tank outlet pipe is, as usual, on the left hand side looking from the rear of the car.

We understand that the Ripple is the next radiator to be produced, and we should be glad to know immediately whether there are any shortages for this, as it is extremely difficult to get parts located and despatched on very short notice.

Yours faithfully,
FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LTD.
