IDLER GEAR (celeron).

Owing to the seizing up of the dynamo drive pinion (spindle in bearings) last August, this caused several of the teeth of the idler gear to shear. A new idler gear and dynamo drive pinion were fitted and we left about .004" play between the teeth.
Since the above was carried out, the car has only covered 11.341 miles and we find that there is now from .010" to .012" slack between the teeth of the idler gear and the dynamo drive pinion.
Do you consider that we should fit a new idler gear? We are unable to account for the above.

Sr/VA.
