X J 117. To Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} from Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls} C. C. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}5/KT.12.10.33. X S 300 25 HP. CLUTCH COMPLAINTS. It will be seen from the attached report that we ought to be able to make a considerable saving in cost and time in dealing with these complaints. We are still left with the major problem of preventing the oil getting there which now that we have confirmed is due to oil can be tackled. It has been costing approx. £7 and taking two or three days to reline the clutch, but to get rid of the oil by slipping takes a few minutes. As we point out the design of clutch allows that we can run without slipping with half the springs removed, if we keep free from oil. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
