EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} WL5/8.6.20. Yours EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}7F5620 to hand and as far asI know the test consisted of having a specified flow of petrol for carburetter sufficient for full throttle running maximum power, and amount required in pints per hours of the various carburetters as follows:- Pts.H. R.R.C.H. 51 Lion Single. 81 Lion Duplex. 168 Claudel H.C.7. 120 Zenith 65/U.C. 187. The maximum was determined by increasing the head in an air tight petrol tank through the medium of pressure until Flooding started pressure was then released through small byepass until Flooding stopped. Maximum head thus. Minimum head just consisted of a small tank. which was loosened a bit at a time until flow to carburetter fell off, Minimum head then specified according to position of tank. I have asked them to check R.R.C.H. carburetter for correct level. W.L. | ||
