GRY{Shadwell Grylls} X5360 To DY.{F R Danby} from Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}2/HP.6.2.34. c.c. Mr. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} AHG. Hdy.{William Hardy} 20/25 HP. Front Brakes. Herewith is N. Sch.3961, shewing a modification to the front brakes to increase the width of the shoes. The drums and shoes are of course new and so are the hubs, camshafts (with oil baffles), shoe pivots and guides, but otherwise existing pieces are used. The pivot forging could be modified at a convenient opportunity, if desired, so as to eliminate the lower distance piece between the pivot and inner carrier plate, but we have reckoned on an existing pivot being used. We should like this on the next 10,000 mile car. This modification is rendered possible by the existing two spoke wheels. | ||
