Dear Sirs,

FOR THE ATTENTION OF MR. F.LL. SMITH

We would confirm the Writer's visit to your Works yesterday, and the discussion which took place with regard to the 13½" Plate for your Phantom III Model.

It was arranged that we should develop a plate here, designed after the Long type 12" which you had used with success over there.

Immediately we have these designs through, we will send prints along to you for your scrutiny, and if you are satisfied, then we are prepared to build up one or two of these plates for experimental purposes.

It is also understood that should it be necessary, you are willing to arrange for a Pressure Plate retraction of .090", so that we can arrange to have a fairly deep soft cushion rather than a shallow stiff one.

We shall be contacting with you in the near future about this job; in the meantime,

We are,

Yours faithfully,

BORG & BECK COMPANY LTD.
