For the attention of Mr.F.Ll.Smith.

Dear Sirs,

Re 10.A3 Clutch.

Further to our letter of the 24th instant, we would advise that a check has been made with a 10.A3 cover assembly fitted with black springs due to your complaint that thrust springs close coiled before pressure plate was fully released on an assembly in your possession.

The result of our check proves that it is possible to obtain 3/16" movement over and above the specified dimensions of 7/16" at release lever plate before the close coiling of thrust springs takes place; therefore we can only assume that your mechanics in reassembling the clutch did not obtain the correct release lever plate setting.

Assuring you, in the meantime, of our fullest co-operation, we are,

Yours faithfully,
BORG & BECK COMPANY LIMITED.

A.M.Shinkins.
