Re Door Catches - 26-G-6.
We understand that Park Wards have had one or two cases of the doors flying open with this type of Silent Travel lock, used on the Std. Bentley & fitted to this body.
The trouble results from bad door fitting which prevents the taper bolt pulling fully home the lock wedge. Movement on the road works back the taper bolt.
We do not agree with Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/IMW{Ivan M. Waller - Head of Chateauroux}'s remarks that the lock is unsuitable for a flexible body for two reasons.
① The lock is a Silent Travel Patent made under licence by Messrs Keats specifically for a Silent Travel (flexible) body.
② The body of 26-G-6 is a rigid body
