Door Catches.
You will note from the Daily Reports that we have again been troubled with the doors flying open. This question was gone over with FD.{Frank Dodd - Bodies} after the last time this car was in France without any very definite conclusions. We must now recognise that these catches are unsatisfactory and rather dangerous when used on a body as flexible as this. The security of the catch should be independent of door and pillar movement.
Another trouble we have experienced is the luggage flaps of both 26.G.VI. and 6.B.IV. which have the same type of central handle, working both catches, coming open at one side. This has happened frequently with both cars. The catch the other side has prevented the flap falling right open.
