EJJ. from Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst. c. to Hy.{Tom Haldenby - Plant Engineer} 86037 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst.1/KT.23.1.33. PEREGRINE & BENSPORT DYNAMO TESTS. We urgently require another high speed dynamo test rig, in order to expedite the high speed running necessary to develop the Peregrine and Bensport dynamos to a state fit for production. We should be glad if you will arrange to have another rig produced for us as soon as possible. In this instance we recommend that we have a new motor. The existing motor is very old and is actually a 500 volt. motor, so that on the 100 volt. circuits the motor is used, it is only developing a fraction of its H.P. It is also badly balanced and will not run at high speeds. In order to cope with tests we will ultimately carry out with the large 40/50 dynamo, running at high speeds as a plain shunt machine, we recommend that we be supplied with a 100 volt. 5 HP. D.C. motor for this purpose. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst. | ||
