Re Axle Ratios for Phantom Chassis.
for America.

I attach a copy of a letter dated 10th February, from R.R.A.I. recommending that all chassis sent to America should be fitted with 14-tooth axles.

I believe some tests were made some time ago to show what was the exact difference between 14 and 15-tooth axles, and certain conclusions were come to in regard to the difficulty of manufacture, noise, petrol consumption, decrease of top speed, engine roar, overheating, etc.

will you kindly forward any information on these points which will be of assistance to the American Company in considering this matter.

B.J.
