As discussed with you, we prefer the continuous oil feed for engines which run at high speeds. On the whole the present Bentley lubrication system is very satisfactory. When we tried the Phantom scheme on the Bentley we had repeated big end failures on the test bed. We will endeavour to make some quantitative tests to see how much oil is passed by the two schemes respectively. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} | ||
