With reference to EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}/Thn13/H15.6.26., we have now received official instructions to proceed with Items C. D.{John DeLooze - Company Secretary} E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} & F.{Mr Friese} as indicated in EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}6/H8.6.26.

With regard to Item C. We would point out that the Spring F.10563 is 20% stiffer than standard, not 25%. Will EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} please advise us what poundage we should send. We will be interested to know what Mr. Summers thinks of these. Personally, we are afraid he will find the riding very hard.

Item D.{John DeLooze - Company Secretary} Will EY. please let us have the Nos. of the L.O.P. for 'D' Steering Column Support. Have these parts been instructed in the Works yet, and if so, are they available?

Item E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} It will only be necessary to instruct for a standard Autovac from stock.

Item F.{Mr Friese} Will EY. please let us have L.O.P's for the rubber ring in Servo Actuation and the necessary parts.

We note that EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} suggests that we should send the stiffer Rear Springs for Mr. Summers to fit. We should also send the new Autovac, but it appears to us that Items D & F, especially D.{John DeLooze - Company Secretary} require for the car to come to the Works in order to have these parts fitted.

Will EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} please advise us whether we should send the items for E, as an outside job, or whether he recommends that we should do the whole lot together when the car comes to the Works for the Steering Column Support to be fitted. We are inclined to suggest that at all events the stiffer Springs might be sent to Mr. Summers, as it is very possible that he may be only too pleased for us to change back to the existing Springs.
