GRW-32. London Trials Saloon.

Ever since this car was in commission there have been intermittent complaints of a periodic vibration and noise developed by the engine when running at 48½ m.p.h. on top gear.

On two occasions the car has been attended to by N. with a view to putting this right - on the second occasion they found that a certain part of the slipper-drive had become corrugated and required grinding, and it was hoped that after this job had been attended to the trouble would not return, but on Saturday when driving to Wiltshire this periodic noise became severe and every time the car passed through the speed referred to this vibration occurred, thus making the car quite useless from the point of view of demonstration work.

I have sent this car to you by Messervy in order that it can be treated as very urgent, and we hope that no time will be lost in dealing with this matter - and we look forward to your report as to progress made, as a number of important demonstration runs have had to be cancelled in view of this.
