- 2 - Messrs. Park Ward & Co., Ltd. (3) The Sunshine roof itself should be made stiffer and have more steel cross lattice pieces, so that whilst the roof member is elastic, it will maintain its shape. (4) The fabric covering on the sliding member should be padded and damped to prevent its fluttering, due to the rush of air over its upper surface. (5) The forward drains for the Sunshine roof should come out at the side of the roof and not the front. These should be faired off in such a way that the airstream does not pass normally across the plane of the face. We have already asked you to avoid the use of a metal frame to the screen glass. We would like the panel to be rounded down to the glass to avoid a sharp edge, thus We want the outer edges of the screen pillars to be rather boldly radiused, as indicated. The air passing the door shuts causes a lot of noise. To avoid this crevice acting as a whistle, we wish the edge of the pillar and the door of all the shuts to be radiused as indicated. | ||
