but we do not know how much running these have done.

Ignition Governor. X.4275

Regarding the governor,we believe they have set this to suit the ignition timing sent over by us. Later we shall check this, but we do not see any particular reason for the high speed stop on the governor. Mr. Hives thinks he can detect the advantage, which should naturally be obtained by the governor control of the timing( i.e. greater absence of detonations.)

Coil. X.4275 X.3445

Regarding the coil, we think our pattern makes a neater application, is more elegant, and better protected than the Bosch design. We think the Bosch people could easily make this for you, ours being a better shape and better enclosed for space at disposal. We shall be glad if you will get them to supply our design.

Ballast Resistance. X.4275. X.3716

Regarding the ballast resistance unit, this as made by the Bosch Company is an extremely nice little fitting, simple and admirable, and it should serve its purpose well. There is no reason why it should not be fitted in, on, or near the distributing box, and so be in a safe place; it could be on the outside of one of the vertical sides of the box.

Spares. X.4275 X.1362

It will be remembered that somewhere convenient on the car a spare screw and rocker (the contacts in first class condition) should be carried, and these should be capable of being easily changed by a very moderate amount of care or skill in quick time. For carrying such spares I am proposing a small and exclusive receptacle inserted into the instrument board, holding ignition spares and other very small necessary tools and stores.
