re. RADIATOR FANS. X1017

EFC's work on these should be most valuable. We save power, belts etc, and make the action of the fan more efficient and reliable.

BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} and E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} will decide which pattern will be best to adopt. It should have reasonable appearance, and be strong and practical, and reasonably light.

Wide blades are generally ugly, and weak in the centre.

The speed should be kept as low as will not give much loss of cooling under road conditions.

HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} will recommend a speed, remembering belt drives are greatly increased in life by, size larger pulleys and slow speed.

We ought to be enormously better with our recent spring for maintaining an easily adjusted tension.
