With reference to your memo. By.2/G18.12.33, By/SS{S. Smith} has been misinformed.

The down pipe, front box, intermediate pipe which goes through at first silencer, the sliding joint, are all made in Staybrite.

The first silencer box is made in steel and not lagged.

The clearance we gave for the sliding joint was .004" per side, minimum .008" on the dia.
