| To RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} x212 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls}18/KW.1.1.35. Flywheel Balance. We find we have been misled recently during tests on flywheel vibrations by the flywheels themselves not being in static balance. B-1 unit at present in 5-B-IV was several ounces out of balance at the periphery of the flywheel. Can you please in future always test the complete assembly of crankshaft, flywheel and clutch on knife edges before fitting to an engine. It is essential that for our test of the thinned disc flywheel on B-9 unit the parts should be in balance. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls} | ||
