Referring to ROY{Sir Henry Royce}1/MG11.7.33 I was, as you know, desirous all along that we should fit something different from Dunlops to the Bentley so as to try to get a difference between the Bentley and Rolls-Royce.

I understand from your memo. that the tyres we have tested are not standard India tyres, which presumably means that we have not tested the actual tyres which we are contemplating standardising.

If my assumption is correct, then I imagine that the correct India tyres will be on the car which is shortly going for 10,000 miles and, if Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} is satisfied with the result of these tests/, then I think we should be prepared to standardise them.

Regarding the different conditions as set out in your memo., the/ best way would, I think, be to deal with the matter as per (a), i.e.mention them exclusively in our various catalogues etc. in the same way as we have done with Dunlops for RR chassis, but this does not necessarily mean that we cannot fit something else if a customer specifically asked for it.
