6116 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst.4/MA. July 26th., 1933. Messrs.Joseph Lucas Ltd., Great King Street, BIRMINGHAM, 19. For the attention of Mr.L.G.Toulmin. Dear Sir, Replying to your letter of the 21st. inst., ref. X/LGT7 referring to the Bentley headlamps, we have checked up the dimensions as requested and find that the headlamps will just clear the radiator but as the clearance is rather small we should prefer to obtain a sample pair of lamps as soon as possible and have same fitted up for inspection before we finally approve of the same. You will realize that this is necessary because there is a certain amount of relative movement on the Bentley chassis between the radiator and the frame. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
