The aim in making this scheme has been to produce a lamp which appears to be an integral part of the wing, whilst at the same time being readily accessible. The scheme shows a lamp having its outer casing welded to the wing in such a manner that when finished it will appear as part of the wing. This casing is open at the front end and into it the lamp unit is inserted. To change a bulb or remove the wiring connections, the screw which passes through the glass should be removed when the glass may then be slid out, leaving the interior of the lamp accessible. Thus it will be seen that it is not necessary to work underneath the wing to perform any operations inside the lamp. Will Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} please let us have a piece of the helmeted wing to send to the lamp makers to ensure correct matching. [Signature] DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} | ||
