Brake Drums.

We are in receipt of memo reference ROY{Sir Henry Royce}/HW10/GB7.9.33.., with regard to the samples of brake drums which have been sent to us by Messrs. Lake & Elliott Limited, which have been produced by a different method designed to enable the drums to be produced cheaper than at present.

The point we would like to make is that according to Messrs. Lake & Elliott's figures, we shall only be saving 3/6d. per cwt. by the adoption of the new method and we are wondering whether it is worth while altering and interferring with the standardised product for the small saving mentioned.
