X.607 - FAILTY EXIDE BATTERIES
With reference to your Wd{Mr Wood/Mr Whitehead}6/NJ13.11.22 and concerning particularly single cell from chassis 10-RE, single cell from chassis 17-RE, and the battery from chassis 20 TW, our notes regarding these are as follows :-
Chassis 10-RE Single Cell. - Exide responsibility.
Chassis 17-RE Single Cell. - Customer's responsibility.
Chassis 20 TW - 1 Battery. Responsibility equally divided between Rolls-Royce and customer.
This appears to agree with the statements in EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}'s note EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}/CEP4/EC4.11.22, except in the case of 2P TW over which we agree with Mr. McKinnon's contention.
