For the attention of Major Searight.

Dear Sir,

We thank you for your letter of the 25th.inst.

As far as we are concerned we have no objection to you fitting Crookes "A" glass to your instruments. We are carrying out a test on it but naturally we cannot get any results for some considerable time, and therefore have to rely on your recommendations in the matter.

With regard to the single line instrument. We have today returned to you the tank complete, and have incorporated the baffle for the gauge as you suggested. We shall be glad to have this back as soon as you have completed your tests on it.

When this tank is returned the writer would appreciate a visit from Major Searight if this could be arranged, to discuss the single line installation, and at the same time to go over some of the service troubles which still seem to prevail.

Yours faithfully,

For Rolls-Royce Ltd.
