Dear Sirs,

For the attention of Major Searight.

With reference to the balanced gauge for the 40/50 HP. car which we are about to run 10,000 miles. This gauge only loses ¼ gall. after standing over-night which is considerably less than any of the other gauges.

The only fault we have so far found with it is that it takes some considerable time for the gauge to take up its reading when the tank has been filled, (approx. 5 mins.) We are going into the matter, but wondered whether you could tell us the cause of the phenomenon.

Yours faithfully,
