X1110 Exptl. Dept. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Smth.18/KW. 28th May, 1936. The Borg & Beck Company Ltd., Tachbrook Road, Leamington Spa. For the attention of Mr. Barker. Dear Sirs, Re 12" Long Plate. Replying to your letter of the 26th inst., the drawing C.H.3094 appears to refer to the plate in question excepting for one or two details in connection with the fixing of the damping unit. We understand that the sample plate we have here is a recently improved form of the one shown on the drawing. The arrangement of the cushioning and friction facings appears to be identical. We have now run the 13¼" compound cushion plate which you made for us and find that it jaggers very badly. We have not yet, however, had an opportunity of inspecting the plate after removal from the car. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
