In cases where the design of the engine does not allow for suspension by the "Floating Power" system, other designs of resilient suspension can be applied. Here also, of course, the solution must be of such a kind that the vibrations are absorbed to the point where they are not detrimental to the frame of the car or the foundations and surroundings of stationary engines.

METALASTIK AIRCRAFT ENGINE SUSPENSION
Engine vibration in aircraft is particularly undesirable, since the results thereof are likely to be more dangerous than in the case of other forms of transport. METALASTIK units will prevent engine vibration from being passed on to the fuselage structure, which, in consequence, will have a considerably longer life. In addition, comfort of both passengers and crew will be materially enhanced. We have developed special designs for aircraft engines in line and for radial engines. As the illustrations show, our suspension parts are independent, interchangeable units which are manufactured in various sizes suitable for every aero engine, in line or radial.

METALASTIK CAR SUSPENSION
The application of rubber in a springing device throws an entirely new light upon the subject. While all steel springs have deflection proportional to load, they do not adapt themselves according to the load they are carrying. With the METALASTIK rubber spring we have developed designs which have progressive characteristics and can be used for compression and tension. In other words, for light loads the spring is very smooth and will get stiffer as the load is increased. Through special constructional changes the characteristics can be altered to suit individual requirements.

METALASTIK Progressive Torsion Spring
We have developed METALASTIK rubber springs of special construction for use in motor cycle front forks and for rear frame suspension. In addition to vehicle suspension, there are numerous applications of rubber springing for all kind of machines—for instance, machines with oscillating movement as sieving machines, etc.
METALASTIK COUPLINGS
Modern requirements call for driving couplings of all sizes and for all purposes. METALASTIK couplings are ideal, being completely noiseless in operation and free from backlash. They can be made sufficiently small for use in driving fans, water pumps, dynamos, etc., on motor cars, or large enough for use in air screws, power stations or ships. Obviously, there being no backlash, they eliminate coupling gear rattle, for use in clutch disc centres. We have special construction for all torques for limited angular movement, for great flexibility, progressive and non-progressive.
METALASTIK Coupling for small angular movement and heavy torque. For marine propeller shafts, etc.
METALASTIK Coupling with limited angular movement. For waterpumps, dynamos, etc.
