BENTLEY STEERING BOXES.

Re Roy{Sir Henry Royce}/Ms.10/P.1.2.37, suggesting that we should change from Dixtampo to Malleable Iron on the Bentley steering box. This change would result in an increased labour and overheads charge of 8/- per chassis, due to increased difficulty of machining and increased time required for trimming sand castings as compared with stampings. The change to Malleable Iron would, therefore, involve a loss of at least 4/- per chassis.
