YOUR REF Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls} 7/MH.{M. Huckerby} OUR REF. NR/EL. 14th June, 1938. Messrs. Rolls Royce Ltd. Derby. Dear Sirs, We are in receipt of your letter of the 30th ult., and regret that this matter has not received earlier attention owing to the writer's absence from the Works until yesterday. We note your remarks regarding wheel discs of our manufacture embodying the peaked rib, and we feel sure that the explanation is that the two cars which were in your Repair Department had Thrupp and Maberly coachwork. As you know Messrs. Thrupp and Maberly Ltd., are one of Messrs. Rootes' Companies, and they are ofcourse entitled to the use of this registered design. We would mention that it is also used by Messrs. Talbot Ltd., If you would kindly let us have a drawing of the scheme you have in mind, we should probably be able to forward some helpful suggestions with samples. We are, Yours faithfully, For CORNERCROFT LIMITED. [Signature] Joint Managing Director. | ||
