(Experimental Dept.) Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Gry{Shadwell Grylls}14/R.{Sir Henry Royce} 22nd January, 1937. M.{Mr Moon / Mr Moore} Wilks, Esq., The Rover Company Ltd., New Meteor Works, COVENTRY. Dear Mr. Wilks, Many thanks for your letter re gear wheel costs. In view of what you say I will get in touch with Mr. Worster at Tyseley and go over on Thursday next week. It might interest you to hear that I had my "12" decoked the other day after 7,000 miles. The cylinder bore wear was .005 on each cylinder. Because of the excellence of the noise insulation I am not complaining until the first plug oils up. Like Robotham, I have no objection to noises I can't hear. Yours sincerely, | ||
