Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} X4117. S/W. To Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} from C. c. to Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} I enclose copy of letter received from Mr. Geoffrey Smith, for many years Editor of the "Autocar" and now a Director of Iliffe & Sons and Sturmeys, the Publishers, and who is looked upon, of course, as a very knowledgeable amateur motorist. A number of small points you will notice he has had trouble with and he makes one or two suggestions which I think you will find useful. His chief trouble, as you will see, appears to be that he continued to boil although he left the shutters off. Do you think he should have boiled with a 20/25 even on the high mountains he climbed? Or do you think there was anything he could have done to prevent this? Or can you suggest anything wrong with the car that might be the cause of it? C. Att: Copy of letter of 15.8.30. | ||
