We are then going to fit up a pivot type radiator mount and also try your experiment with solid front engine mounting.

Will you please send us a new front exhaust manifold It has cracked through the main pipe midway between Nos. 3 and 4 branches.

The immediate jobs in addition to the general examination are as follows:-

1) Distributor rather noisy. Try effect of lubricant on various parts.

2) Reline rear brakes.

3) Refit foot brake slotted link which carries pedal down when handbrake is on, so leaving stop lamp on.

4) Find cause of gradual change in petrol gauge reading, such as bent float connection.

5) Investigate excessive oil feed to centre steering lever.

6) Fit new centre bolt to nearside rear road spring to replace existing bolt which has broken.

7) Clean and oil air filter as instructed thereon.

Will you please confirm that Bertha is to continue mileage when this work is complete. How many miles is it to do according to present plans ?

We have interchanged the rear propellor shafts of the Corniche and Bertha. The Bentley is now correct for length The vibration periods is less marked but not yet passable.
