D/BP e.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} BY Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Lid{A. J. Lidsey} X3117. EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}/Thn27/MH.{M. Huckerby}28.11.33 re CHASSIS NO. GHA-35 - MULLINER'S, NORTHAMPTON STOCK ----------------------------------------------------- The specification of the above calls for D.W.S.Jacks to be fitted before despatch. These have been fitted but are not considered by us to be a satisfactory job and we have had them removed and propose to declare the chassis off test and despatch without the jacks. In the meantime Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Lid{A. J. Lidsey} has gone over the job with us and is taking the matter up with the makers. For BY's and Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Lid{A. J. Lidsey}'s information, the drive shafts are too short, causing the handle extension to foul the tyres. They are also stiff to operate near the closed position, and generally speaking in the present condition cannot be regarded as a satisfactory job. LID{A. J. Lidsey} EP{G.
