is a compounded mineral oil containing no sulphur or chlorine whatever, and we were informed that the deposits still occurred although in a less degree than with Mobiloil EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}, and we are therefore still of the opinion that such deposits are due to the inter-action between the lubricants themselves and the coating of boiled oil used in treating the castings.

We look forward to hearing the results of your tests on units which have not been treated in this manner as we feel confident that this is the major problem involved.

Nevertheless, we are carrying our investigations further and will be only too pleased to advise you of the results.

Yours faithfully,
VACUUM OIL COMPANY LIMITED.
