Messrs. Rolls-Royce, Ltd., Date 2.5.29. Page 3 of the complaint which you have received with regard to this gauge, has fairly established in your mind that the trouble was due to over-night loss, and not to a wet air line, which we fear may have been rather prevalent in the first installations, owing to their coming out from the coachbuilders before they or your outside staff were conversant with the installation procedure. Our Correction, Operation and Diagram Sheets regarding the three line type of installation, are at present in our printers' hands, but it occurs to us that as soon as these come through, it will be urgently necessary to send say two copies forward with this new gauge, so that it may have every chance of working correctly after installation. We will accordingly send you a supply of this literature as soon as it comes from the printers, but we do not anticipate it being available before the middle of next week. We remain, dear Sirs, Yours faithfully, H.M. HOBSON, Ltd., F.P. Searle Joint Managing Director. | ||
