For the attention of Mr.Martindale.

Dear Sirs,

We thank you for your letter dated 23rd inst., and await your further communication with regard to the proposed visit to your works on the return of Mr.Martindale from France.

We are interested to have your comments on the road test made with 400 "M" and "D", and are very much surprised to note that the car again began diving to the side of the road.

This particular quality has been in extensive use on heavy commercial vehicles for a number of years, and has always given complete satisfaction, and it is puzzling to know why it behaves so strangely on your cars. However, a discussion on the results will no doubt help to explain this abnormal behaviour.

Yours faithfully,
GANDY'S
(The G.B.M. Co.Ltd.)
