tomorrow at the earliest. It has already been agreed with the Coroner that the proofs should not be sent to him until after the boat has been salvaged and that he will then arrange to resume the Inquest as soon as possible, preferably on a Saturday afternoon. I will wire you as soon as the date has been fixed. I am arranging to have an independent expert up to examine the broken step and so forth and to produce independent evidence of the condition of the hull before the boat sank and as to the finding of the waterlogged-branch. It will be probably less troublesome if I send the whole of these statements to you after the boat has been raised. I ascertained yesterday that Messrs. Saunders-Roe Ltd., the Builders, had taken separate advice but I have seen their Solicitor and satisfied him that Mr. Cooper's evidence will cover them, subject to anything the raising of the boat may disclose. Yours faithfully, H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} Handley. P. S. Green may be required to prove the mechanical condition of the boat when raised. H.H. A.{Mr Adams} V.{VIENNA} Nutt Esq., St.{Capt. P. R. Strong} James's Chambers, Derby. | ||
