(Urbanacdel) Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} at L&C! PEREGRINE REAR AXLE. X4469 We send herewith N. schs. 1239 & 1242 shewing the rear axle tube brake gear and hubs. The wheels at present intended for standard are Rudge-Whitworth detachable wire wheels, but in case these should not prove successful and also to provide for customers special requirements, we have arranged the axle so that Dunlop wire wheels, and Michelin discs can be fitted by merely changing the hubs. This drawing also shews the brake operating gear and spring centre anchorage and it will be seen that in general lines follows Goshawk 11. in practice. N.sch. 1242 shews the comparison as regards moduli and stress between the Peregrine and Goshawk 11. rear axle tubes. Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} | ||
