TESTS WITH ROAD SPRINGS IN FRANCE.

9-PK car fitted with the 20% stiffer Woodhead springs has completed 9,500 miles, and the springs are still satisfactory. Owing, however, to the oil pipe breaking and all the oil being lost, further running of this car has been held up.

The springs are being transferred to the other car in order to complete the 10,000 miles with a clean sheet. As soon as that mileage is completed, which we expect will be through by Friday the 31st., the tests will be continued with the 12½% Woodhead springs.

Tests in connection with the 12½% Firths springs are being held up until we get better results on the bumping test.
