46153. Br.{T. E. Bellringer - Repair Manager} From Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst.3/MA.13.2.35. IGNITION TROUBLE WITH CAR RADIO SETS. We have carried out extensive tests on several cars 40/50 and 20/25 but have not been able to reproduce the trouble you have experienced. It appears to be an elusive trouble which may occur on engines which are more prone to oiling up than others. We are therefore unable to make any recommendations regarding the new plugs which we have been trying. We think that a good plan would be for you to have, say, a dozen of these new type plugs available and when the next car comes along with this complaint, to fit them in and try them out yourselves. It is only wasting time for us to wait at Derby until we get this trouble when you are experiencing it at N. as a general complaint. Will you please say if you agree to this proposal.
